Florence Bay Rover Crew

The Florence Bay Rover Crew was first founded at Florence Bay on the eastern side of Magnetic Island and due to the lack of numbers on the island and the mainland one crew still stands to date. Florence Bay Rover Crew meet on the mainland at the hermit park rover den. The den at Florence Bay itself still stands and is used by the whole region for camping at Florence Bay, a great place to get away for a weekend or two a year.

Our crew consists of male and female members between the ages of 18-26 with 17.5 being the age we accept linking venturers on some of our activities. We all come from a variety of backgrounds some work, some study and some maybe in the army. We are a fairly active crew meeting every fortnight as well as weekend activities on occasion. We do a variety of activities which we select to do at our monthly meetings including; archery, rock climbing, constructing stuff, dinners, chip tasting, camping, providing service to the Kennedy region events and many more. These activities offer an opportunity to mix socially, push yourself physically, challenge yourself mentally and develop friendships for life.
